In the wake of the Bakrie group finally getting total ownership of Brisbane Roar sorted out, the club now seems to be making moves to shore up its future on the park. Yesterday it was announced that the league's top goal scorer, Besart Berisha, had agreed terms on a new two year deal.
Berisha had originally signed with the Brisbane club for just one season and after scoring prolifically he was one player the Roar really needed to tie up. But it seems that challenge wasn't too big of a deal for Roar with the Albanian international keen to extend his stay in Brisbane. Berisha cited the happiness of his family and how well they had settled in the city as major reasons for his decision to stay at the club.
