Roar Add Proia To Ranks

I've been a bit lax in keeping on top of news of late and one item that slipped through the net at Foggy @ Night was Brisbane Roar's signing of a new player.  With an eye to the future Ange Postecoglou has signed AIS graduate Anthony Proia.  The striker has signed on until the end of the 2014 season and will be one of a number of players who Postecoglou has earmarked to develop over the next couple of seasons.  Proia is an Autralian under 17 representative and the pacy forward has been racking up the goals in the National Youth League where he has been playing with the AIS.

In his interview with media after being unveiled he had some interesting things to say which auger well for the club's standing among the ranks of players in Australian and also our ability to attract quality youth.

This means everything to me because it's Brisbane Roar. I was watching last year and I guess it's everyone's dream to play for Brisbane Roar in the Australian League, especially me.  To look at some of the boys they've got up here like Bes (Besart Berisha) - he's a great guy to learn from.  I can't wait to play with him, learn from him and hopefully become a great footballer like him one day.
