| Aga Bakrie |
At the moment we haven't heard a lot of detail about what their vision is and how it will be executed. We know that the Bakries have involvement in clubs in Uruguay, Indonesia and Belgium and it's fair to assume that there will be some alignment in operation between them and the Roar. Given how things are going in Brisbane I'd say it's unlikely that they will change too much.
So what should we expect to see?
Number one I reckon there will be some movement on contracts. I won't be surprised to see Ange offered a new and lucrative long term deal.
Number two I'd expect that we will see some key players tied up on longer term deals. In that vein don't be surprised to see Thomas Broich given a marquee sized contract with the club.
Thirdly I reckon we will see a significant promotional push for the club around Brisbane. Our champions league campaign and the finals are not far off so the club could go the big push and try a real media and promotion blitz over the next couple of months to drum up crowds.
In the off-season I think we might see a couple of new signings. I'm thinking a return of Matt McKay who is totally on the outer at Rangers and Dario Vidosic who is wanting out of Adelaide United.
Beyond that expect Ange's long term vision of a training and administration facility to start taking shape.
All in all it's exciting times for the Roar. Onwards and upwards I say.
